Andy Smith and Eddy Ortiz – It’s time to get some Republicans on the Union County Freeholders

vote_conservativeBy Vikki Jensen: The Union County Freeholder Board is run as a fiefdom with cronyism galore. Thanks to the tireless and diligent efforts of Tina Renna and the Union County Watch organization, at least a few lukewarm investigations have been held, but more are in order. A few samples of the abuses are; 1) the disappearing Music Fest funds. Of course the Union County Prosecutor found no indictable offenses for his friends, but at least released a scathing report of mismanagement; 2) $136,000 for a web site (!!??!!), enough money to build 27 spectacular websites with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) included. The company that built it doesn’t have a website of their own, which is very interesting. I wonder whose son-in-law did the website? 3) they refuse to answer questions and treat the public like trash when anyone questions their nefarious dealings.

There are so many more abuses and examples of patronage, so of course it is no surprise that Union County’s budget is much higher than Morris County, which has a similar demographic. Union County typically consumes a higher percentage of local property taxes than the municipality itself.

There has not been a Republican on the Union County Freeloader Board in 15 years. We now have an opportunity to get two good conservative candidates on board. Andy Smith and Eddy Ortiz are running on the Republican ticket and they need your help! If you are willing to make calls or canvass precincts, please contact them at 908-922-4908 or via email at andy@andysmithnj.com. It is time for a change, and you can make it happen!

It is the policy of Conservative New Jersey to not endorse any candidate for any office. We will post an announcement though from any conservative group that is trying to promote voter awareness and involvement. Please send any requests for posting to my attention at rzuent@conservativenewjersey.com.  Thank you
